And with one in four of us—that’s 42 million people, people—moving each year, we’re going through a whole lotta boxes to get our stuff where we want to go. So where do all those boxes end up? According to the EPA, cardboard is the largest single component of municipal solid waste, making up nearly 14 percent of the stuff nation-wide.
