EcoStiletto joined forces with BASH Eco Events to present the Mommy Lounge & Spa at Pregnancy Awareness Month’s launch at TreePeople on Sunday, May 2nd. The lifestyle event brought together more than 500 guests to celebrate expectant moms and new parents with a day of fun, free, eco- and family-friendly activities.
Founded in 2008 by author and holistic expert Anna Getty and co-founded by mompreneur Alisa Donner, PAM is a month long educational campaign designed to empower women considering pregnancy, expectant moms and new parents with information and “how to” ideas that show how easy it can be to make healthy changes that make a difference in pregnancy and parenting.
Celebrity guests included Amy Smart, Josie Maran and Bathazar Getty, among others. A pregnant Danica McKellar chatted with Trista Sutter at a book signing for Jessica Denay’s new book, A Hot Mom to Be Handbook: Look and Feel Great from Bump to Baby, for which Trista was a contributor. Scott Strapp of Creed serenaded his pregnancy wife Jaclyn with a live acoustic rendition of “Arms Wide Open” before Jaclyn hit the catwalk to model in a maternity fashion show hosted by Expecting Models. Joely Fisher walked the green carpet with her children and mom Connie Stevens before speaking on the “Conscious Birthing” panel with Ricki Lake.
The EcoStiletto/BASH Mommy Lounge was sponsored by Arcona Skincare & Spa, Josie Maran Cosmetics, Lavender Bliss Mist, Nicobella Vegan Dark Chocolate Truffles, Jessica Carter Pregnancy Massage and Katie Rogers Feng Shui. Guests entered to win more than $800 in prizes: James Bailey, Jacquelyn Beckman, Valerie Caron, Foronda and Minka Gurman each won a $48 Josie Maran Cosmetics Earth Day Kit, Lisa Longo won $10 worth of Lavender Bliss Mist, Becky Watson won $164 in personalized Arcona Skin Care, Melissa Peat and Charley Rand each won $15 boxes of Nicobella Vegan Organic Dark Chocolates, Nicole Shapiro won a $120 at-home massage from Jessica Carter Pregnancy Massage (for non-pregnant people, too!) and Melissa Vaca won a $250 at-home consultation from Katie Rogers Feng Shui.
