Consider this: The EPA has tagged seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the U.S. as “possible,” “likely,” “probable” or “known” carcinogens. Do you really want those chemicals on the clothes you wear closest to your most sensitive, intimate skin? Possibly, likely, probably…definitely not. Jonano, whom we first featured in our November Eco-Fashion Week(end) Exclusive agrees. The Pittsburgh-based company knows how to make butter-soft, beautifully durable and machine washable boy shorts, slips and wraps that make switching to eco-lingerie not just easy, but a pleasure.

Jonano’s Ecolux collection is made from trademarked sustainable fabrics that utilize organic cotton, bamboo and low-impact dyes. Among our faves is ecoKashmere, sweatshop-free made from certified organically grown bamboo harvested close to its manufacturing facility to reduce carbon footprint. It’s soft. Incredibly soft. And slinky. And sexy. And versatile. The Long Kimono Wrap, for instance, is a go-to garment for languid Sunday mornings—though it’s equally well suited to hot Saturday nights, and makes a great wrap dress, too!

For bedtime, lounge time, and pretty much anytime we want to slip into something seriously comfortable, we’d have a hard time beating Jonano’s Ecolux Lace Boy Shorts and coordinating Lace Cami. The black lace edging adds a little hint of naughty, but the Triexta (a durable, stain-resistant corn-based fiber that’s a lower-impact alternative to conventional petroleum-based nylon), Bamboo Viscose and Spandex blend fabric is so nice on the skin, it’s sinful. And the colors? Delish.
