Fall’s About Face from Lina Hanson: Big Brows

Fall’s best brows? Big, bold, but never bushy. Photo: Jean Paul Gaultier.
Elizabeth Taylor, Brooke Shields—and now YOU. From runways to the real world, thick, dark brows are a major fall beauty trend. To rock this awesome look without chemicals—or looking like your swarthy Uncle Igor—you need brows that are intense, yet properly arched, which will actually help make your eyes look brighter and more open.
To get them, avoid waxing and opt instead for a light-touch threading or subtle tweezing; you can also brush or twim any stray unruly hairs.
Also important is the right brow shade; going too dark will just look unnatural, which totally defeats the purpose of the big, “natural” brow.
Use a brow powder or pencil and gently fill in any sparse areas. One of our favorite pencils is Lavera’s vegan Eyebrow Pencil, which packs in organic jojoba oil and organic shea butter, to keep big brows bold, groomed and beautifully chemical-free. Finish off by sweeping on a clear brow gel to help them stay in place.
Go on, take a brow!
