Lauren Bush, you rock our world. Even before you married RL heir apparent David Lauren—making you Lauren squared, for all intents and purposes—we loved the way you blazed your own trail, eschewing politics and press to create FEED, a project that brings good wherever it goes.
For all you ecoistas who haven’t been reading Vogue lately, here’s how FEED works: Lauren designs and produces fair trade shoppers and teddy bears, we buy them, and the proceeds raise money for organizations like the World Food Programme.
Simple, right? It’s shop-to-give and it works: The organization has provided more than 60 million meals since it began in 2006.
This year, Lauren’s designed a perfectly mantle-able eco-holiday stocking—emblazoned with the word “JOY” rather than the year-round favorite “FEED”—which just happens to provide six months of nutrients through the FEED Foundation’s Nutrients Fund.
