She’s not known for cause marketing, but Ke$ha took a stand for animal rights this week. The pop star joined celebs Olivia Munn, Ashley Judd and Pink, among others, who pledged to boycott Ringling Bros. circus after a PETA sting uncovered elephants and tigers being violently abused.
Ecorazzi reprinted Ke$ha’a tweet, “Join @peta & boycott elephant abusers @RinglingTweets in ur city!” linking to PETA’s campaign.
According to the animal rights organization the circus recently paid a $270,000 fine to the U.S. Department of Agriculture to settle allegations of animal cruelty—the largest USDA fine in circus history.
Cirque? We’ll take animal-friendly du Soleil any day.
