It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Daryl Hannah

Daryl Hannah and filmmaker Leslie Iwerks at the premiere of “Pipe Dreams.”
Where there is environmental protest, Daryl Hannah is sure to follow. Once starring in mainstream fare like “Wall Street” (ah, the irony), today Daryl is perhaps best known as a veggie-diesel powered superheroine of sustainable living—a woman who’s willing to go to jail for what she believes.
In August, Daryl was arrested protesting the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline, which would run from Alberta, Canada to Texas.
In fact, a recently published article targeted at Occupy Wall Street activists was titled, “It Ain’t Over Till Daryl Hannah Gets Arrested,” although the actress hasn’t gotten nabbed there—yet.
We last spoke to this EcoCelebrity when she was launching her tongue-in-cheekily named DHLoveLife.com (a play on paparazzi preoccupation).
Last week, Daryl walked the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of “Pipe Dreams,” a documentary she narrated about the pipeline, which was directed by Academy Award nominated filmmaker and activist Leslie Iwerks.
We can’t wait to see where she turns up next.
