Angela Lindvall Has Friends in High Places

This week I want to share with you some of my close friends’ amazing products. I am lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing people doing great things. Many of whom live right in my community!
I met my good friend Joni while she was out harvesting elderberry bark. How cool, and so native! She told me that she made a healing salve with it, and explained all the healing benefits that the elderberry tree offers. She went on to tell me about Puremedy, which she created from a recipe passed down through her family for more than 100 years! Her great-grandfather was given the recipe from the Native Americans after he was badly burned. It has been proven to help with such things as the “superbug” MRSA, “staph,” strep, candida, and so much more. Joni and I have been great friends for some time now, and I’ve been using Puremedy regularly as a face cream—I love it. BTW, it’s so pure, you can eat it! I’ve used it when I have a sore throat or dry cough, and it works wonders!
Have you been looking for a sustainable line of makeup that’s good for your skin, good for the earth and REALLY works? Well, RMS Beauty is what you’ve been looking for! Rose Marie Swift is one of the world’s best celebrity makeup artists, and one who cares about women’s health. She knows that what goes on the skin, goes in the body. So she created a line that treats your skin well, leaving a natural youthful glow. Her products come sustainably packaged in cute little glass pots that are perfect for your hand bag. Check out her website to see her products, and for those of you interested in knowing more about what we put on our skin, what’s in our products, and how they affect us, check out the Environmental Working Group’s Skin Deep Database.
Julie, my beautiful neighbor, is always making little tidbits for us to taste. Little did I know that she was writing a cookbook this whole time! As she should. She, and her partner Brendan Brazier, are two of the healthiest people I know, and her new book Superfood Cusine offers an inspiring roadmap for an energy-packed lifestyle, both easy and delicious!
A lot of times we think it’s hard to be healthy, or we don’t know where to start. Here is a great place to do just that! Julie gave me a sneak peak at a kid-friendly recipe for No Bake Brownies to pass on to you. Check out this video: You can make them in five minutes!

Recently, I was introduced to John Huff by my friend Francesco Lupica, whose music was recently featured in Terrence Malick’s “The Tree of Life.” His site is Cosmic Beam Experience if you like spiritual music. John told me about the floating bed he invented. I had seen them before, and always wanted one, but had NO idea that there were actually health benefits involved! According to Jeff, the omni-pendulum or “floating” motion is what makes the difference, mainly by increasing lymphatic circulation, while calming the Vestibular system. John has the medical studies to back up his inspiration for inventing it as well! There is a lot to say about how beneficial this motion is, for anything from increased overall vitality, to serious problems like post-operative recovery, autism, and more. Experiencing it is better than the explanation though!
Love & Light,
