Being a model is not always as glamorous as it sounds, but every once in a while it definitely rings true. This week I’m at the Cannes Film Festival with my little sister. This is her first time out of the country, which makes it super exciting for me—not to mention we will be falling into the laps of luxury!

This is not our typical scene, so we definitely want to look and feel our best. I’m always being asked, “What are your beauty secrets?” So I’m here to share them!

There are so many exciting great products out there, but before we get to that, we must start from the inside out! After all, you can’t depend solely on a cream to solve everything. I believe that the first part of taking care of the world starts by taking care of ourselves—our own inner environment.

The best way to look and feel your best starts with diet and exercise. Recently I’ve fallen in love with Pilates, but I also love yoga and taekwondo. Whatever your choice of exercise may be, it’s crucial to get the blood flowing. Working up a sweat is great for circulation and detoxification, then do something to define your muscles. I like Pilates because it lengthens and tones.

Diet is key to feeling beautiful. What we put in our bodies reflects the way we look and feel. Following an alkaline diet will ensure clear skin and prevent disease. I cut out bread and wheat entirely, which has improved my well being in a major way. I stick to whole grains like quinoa and brown rice and eat a variety of vegetables. Juicing is also a great way to get live vegetables in one drink.

Okay, so now to the products. I absolutely love Lluvia Skin Renewal System. They are beautiful products derived from rainforest botanicals.

Sonya Dakar also makes a great women’s vitamin packet for morning and evening especially designed for healthy skin. You can throw them in your bag and they are super convenient. She also makes an amazing sunscreen that doesn’t go on white. Protecting our skin from the sun is crucial.

If you want that bronze skin but haven’t had the chance to get sun, a spray tan is always a nice jumpstart. I got an all-organic one from Chocolate Sun in LA. They also sell a nice do it yourself cream. Dr. Haushka also makes a rose bronzer for your face that is a super lightweight liquid.

Josie Maran has great makeup products. I like the creams so my skin doesn’t dry out. She has great colors to darken your eyes, highlight your cheekbones, and contour.

Coconut oil is another must have straight from the kitchen. It’s great for your skin, and hair—and to eat, too. Loads of heath benefits!

To top it all off, everyone wants to smell good. I love Young Living Oils for a fragrant natural scent that doesn’t overpower.

Here I am in the French Riviera, living it up and feeling great!
