Celebrating with Adrien Grenier and Peter Glatzer of SHFT.com at the Webby’s. Photo: SHFT.com
It’s great to be a part of such an amazing community of people doing work to make the world a better place. This week we celebrate SHFT.com’s double Webby win! Adrian Grenier and Peter Glatzer launched SHFT to bring about social and environmental awareness through art and design. To show people that the choices they make have a big impact on the larger whole. By using art and creativity, by inspiring and engaging, they bring together the change makers of the world.
A new documentary called “Organic Spies” goes into detail about how regulations can be distorted. Genetically Engineered foods labeled “organic!” Jeez, can’t we just get what we want, and know what we are getting!? It’s such a shame that we have to worry about being poisoned by our food these days. If we can stand up to get food labeled properly, and don’t buy the bad stuff, we can make a change! I say, grow what you can yourselves and get to know your local farmers, so you know for sure what is in your food. There is power in numbers!
Speaking of, I’m super excited to get one of the first copies of Tree Media’s URBAN ROOTS documentary. It’s a great solution, showing how we as communities can build sustainable local food systems. Check it out, I highly recommend it!
Also on my radar: The Rockland Farm Alliance in NY, was just on the front page of the paper for the Cropsy farm.
The pictures below are from our seasonal sweat lodge. This is a place where the community can come together and go back into the womb to ask for guidance, prayers and healing. The sweat lodge is a place of spiritual refuge and mental and physical healing, a place to get answers and guidance by asking spiritual entities, totem helpers, the Creator and Mother Earth for the needed wisdom and power. The change that is needed is turning towards each other instead of away from one another. If we ceremony together, we heal together, we laugh together, live and love together.

Next week, I’ll send some pics from Malibu with my sisters and my boys at the Chanel and NRDC event to support the NRDC Ocean initiative. This is one of my favorite organizations! Their 300 lawyers, scientists, economists and policy experts work to protect the environment and public health through advocacy and education.
A great excuse to wear a Chanel dress, as well!
By all of us coming together and doing our part in each and every way to help make the shift, we can create wonders! I hope you are all enjoying the moments!
Love & Light,

P.S. I want to give a shout out to Hide A Horse. If you’re looking for a great, useful, sustainable gift for Father’s Day, this is it! Order at least two weeks in advance—so that means soon!
