2007 Archives: Yes Organic Personal Lubricant

Coconut cream, mango delicious, chocolate dream—whatever flavor it’s labeled, that tube you giggled over in the sex shop and stashed in your nightstand is probably chock-full of icky stuff like parabens, hormones, silicones and petroleum by-products.
Who wants to use that stuff on her who-ha? Not the folks at the UK-based Yes, who believe in sexual luberation (their word, not ours) through organic lubricants. Frankly, the language on the website made us a little leery, what with all the macho posturing about Yes Personal Lubricant’s high performance capabilities—we always thought it was the motion of the ocean, not the size of the wave. And the tall, cylindrical packaging with the rounded top looks like it was designed to encourage, um, multitasking.
But we love the fact that Yes doesn’t draw attention to itself with an artificial smell that interferes with our naturally sexy pheremones. And one quick glance at a short list of recognizable ingredients—aloe vera, flax extract, cocoa butter, almond oil, bees’ wax and shea butter—and we were sold.
The fact that all these ingredients are certified organic? Bonus!
