2007 Archives: Honeybee Gardens Truly Natural Mascara

We like our mascara about as much as anyone, but with completely different eyelash types that run the gamut from thick and full to short and thin we routinely disagree about which brand is best.
But we all agree that parabens are probably not the best thing to stick next to our eyes, and so the discovery of Honeybee Gardens Truly Natural Mascara was a cause for true rejoicing. Not only did they rule out parabens, Honeybee Gardens also kicked clay to the curb, leaving us with a smooth, light-as-a-feather formula that absolutely will not, cannot and does not clump.
We have to say we did clock a runner during the oh-so-scientific “Beaches” trial—stand up to that weeper and this would be the Rocky Balboa of mascaras—but in day-to-night testing this mascara also refuses to smudge underneath our eyes. It’s not the thickest formula, so for those Ecostilettoistas going for the Edie Sedgwick look you might want to give yourselves a few extra minutes to lay it on thick. But for those of us who like our au natural a little, ahem, enhanced, Honeybee Gardens Truly Natural Mascara is one to stock up on.
Consider us stung.
