2007 Archives: EarthScience Eco-Friendly Facial Scrub and Beauty Products

Here’s what’s in that shall-remain-unnamed facial scrub you’ve been using since high school: sodium laureth sulfate, coamidopropyl betaine and cetyl alcohol (among others). Here’s what’s in EarthScience’s Apricot Gentle Facial Scrub: apricot kernel oil, vitamin E, jojoba oil, licorice root, yucca juice—okay we could go on and on here, but you get the picture: they’re all things you can identify. The Scrub is a moisturizer, cleanser and exfoliant all in one, removing dead skin cells with powder-ground apricot seeds that are less harsh than pumice or salt and specially coated and rounded to prevent over-cleansing or tearing of the skin. And it really truly does leave skin glowy, dewy and smooth as a baby’s proverbial.
For 25 years Earth Science has been making beauty products that eschew petroleum, toxins, heavy metals, artificial colors, parabens or, as they put it “anything that does not belong on the human body.”
Their products are all hands-down awesome, but we just plain love this Scrub the best of all and pledge to use it every morning until we’re so old a blackhead or four don’t matter.
